11TH INSPIRE CONFERENCE

“INSPIRE a digital Europe: Thinking out of the box”

The conference will contribute to the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive by 2020 and serves to demonstrate the potential of the European Spatial Data Infrastructure resulting from INSPIRE for the environment and the EU Digital society. At the conference public and private sector stakeholders will meet and discuss the progress reached so far, discover new opportunities, and further examine possibilities for accelerating the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive.

GeoSmartCity Italian workshop in Reggio Emilia

Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Reggio Emilia, at the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo – Hotel Posta, Piazza del Monte 2, from 10:00 to 17:00, will be held the workshop “GeoSmartCity Energy Data”, organized by the Municipality of Reggio-Emilia to present the local results or the GeoSmartCity project.

Final Conference

The GeoSmartCity final Conference will present the results of the project and its follow-up, to strengthen ties with key stakeholders and to direct towards the integration of the methods and results of the project in the context of local and national governance processes, following the Euro-pean initiatives and trends.

2nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON “SMART AND SUSTAINABLE PLANNING FOR CITIES AND REGIONS – SSPCR 2017”

The Covenant of Mayors (CoM) for Climate and Energy is the mainstream European movement involving local and regional authorities, voluntarily committing to reduce the CO2 emissions by at least 40% by 2030 by increasing energy efficiency and through the use of renewable energy sources, and to adopt an integrated approach to tackling mitigation and adaptation to climate change (for new signatories).

L’evento unisce due conferenze che hanno molte tematiche in comune: la Quarta Conferenza OpenGeoData il 20 giugno e la Conferenza LandCity Revolution il 21 giugno dedicata alle tecnologie e soluzioni per smart city e smart land. L’evento si svolge all’interno del Centro Congressi del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, recentemente ristrutturato che ha al suo interno una sezione completamente nuova con una video gallery, una sala 3D, una sala per videoconferenze e una sala espositiva.

INSPIRE Conference 2016

Date and Place: 26th – 30th September 2016, Barcelona – Spain

The INSPIRE Conference 2016, “INSPIRing a sustainable environment”, also aims to show how the implementation of INSPIRE contributes to the European Interoperability Framework and the EU’s digital economy in general.

It will be organised through a series of plenary sessions addressing common policy issues, and parallel sessions focusing in particular on applications and implementations of INSPIRE, interoperability challenges and solutions, research issues and new and evolving technologies and applications and poster presentations

Call for presentations and workshops
You are invited to submit proposals for abstracts of presentations which will be delivered in thematic sessions or for workshops;

Presentation at the Conference “From ISA to ISA²”

ISA concerned the development of interoperable solutions to allow public administrations in Europe to interact with each other across borders and policy sectors. ISA² expands the scope of its predecessor, by explicitly including regional and local authorities, and providing a link to citizens and businesses.

GeoSmartCity has been included in the session “Ensuring the last link between public administrations, businesses and citizens”, with a presentation by Giacomo Martirano (Epsilon Italia s.r.l) and Carmelo Attardo (GISIG) about the first results achieved.

MYGEOSS Call For Innovative Apps in the environmental and social domains

logoxxxMYGEOSS is launching an open call for development of innovative applications (mobile or web-based) using openly available or crowd-generated data in different domains addressing citizens’ needs.

The pool of open data for use includes but is not limited to the Data Collection of Open Resources for Everyone (GEOSS Data-CORE) made available by the Group on Earth observation (GEO) through the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS), as well as open data from EU-funded projects.
